    Christine Delgado, Chair

    Christine is an economist with KPMG LLP’s Economic and Valuation Services practice. She specializes in providing transfer pricing services to clients in the automotive and biomedical industries. Her experience includes preparing transfer pricing documentation and planning studies involving transfers of tangible property, intangible property, and services, as well as representing clients in the negotiation of advance pricing agreements with the IRS. Christine has a degree in economics and an M.B.A. from Pepperdine University and serves as the Chair of the Board of Trustees. She and her husband Craig have a son in Kindergarten, two daughters in the Class of 2021, and a recent graduate of the Class of 2018. 

    Ed Tessier '82, Vice Chair

    The Tessier family has many generations of ties with Foothill. Ed ’82, his sister Vicki ’83, brother Jerry ’89, are all Foothill alumni as are his two sons, and his two youngest son is currently attending Foothill. Ed is a graduate of Pomona College, where he became a prominent advocate for the disabled and for diversity in education. He is currently Vice President of Arteco Partners, a real estate development firm that specializes in cultural projects throughout the Inland Empire. He is also the founding President of the Schools of Arts and Enterprise, two college preparatory charter schools in Pomona, California. Ed sees his service on the Board as an opportunity to ensure that the outstanding education he received at Foothill is available to future generations. He chairs the Buildings & Grounds Committee of the Board.

    Jeff Stark '76, Treasurer

    Jeff Stark ’76 is a founder and principal in an investment advisory firm in Claremont and has had leadership positions in many local organizations including Claremont Unified School District, Claremont Community Foundation, Los Angeles County Fair and the Claremont Educational Foundation. Jeff earned a B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and serves as the chair of the Development Committee, working closely with the Head of School and Director of Advancement to strategically plan for the long term financial health of the institution. Jeff also serves as co-chair of the Development Committee.

    Stacey Sobel, Secretary

    Stacey Sobel joined Western State University’s faculty in Fall 2009 where she teaches Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, and Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity and the Law. Before coming to Western, she was a lecturer of law at the University of Pennsylvania Law School, Rutgers University School of Law–Camden, and the George Washington University Law School.

    Stacey has an impressive background in the non-profit world and her legacy as an advocate for the rights of women and the LGBT community is especially noteworthy. She drafted the text of the amendment to Pennsylvania’s hate crimes law to include members of the LGBT community—one of the most comprehensive hate crimes laws in the country. Her pro bono work includes serving on the Clinton/Gore transition team and the White House Office of Presidential Personnel in 1992 and 1993. She received a J.D. from The George Washington University Law School, and a B.A. cum laude from the University at Albany, State University of New York.

    As the parent of two Foothill students, Stacey has a store of knowledge and experience about our School’s culture and community and she understands that the role of the Board is to be a governing body focused on the big picture and long-term financial sustainability of our School. Stacey is also co-chair of the Governance Committee.

    Veronica Cutler 

    ​Veronica Cutler was born in Los Angeles to immigrant parents and is fluent in Spanish. Veronica attended school in Chino, then Claremont (Our Lady of the Assumption), and St. Lucy’s in Glendora for high school. She earned a Bachelor's from UCLA with honors, and a JD from the University of La Verne, College of Law. Veronica has practiced as an employment law attorney for 10 years and currently runs her own employment litigation practice in the Claremont Village. She and her husband have two children enrolled at Foothill.

    John Harpole

    John Harpole is a consultant in Spencer Stuart’s Leadership Advisory Services and a member of the Financial Services Practice with diverse institutional investment experience. John has more than 20 years of private capital advisory and institutional investment experience, encompassing public equities, alternative- and real-assets. Earlier in his career, John advised alternative-asset fund sponsors as a senior project manager in J.P. Morgan Chase’s Private Fund Group and, later, as the founder and principal of a FINRA-registered advisory firm that originated and executed client mandates in the U.S. and abroad. Prior to his advisory roles, John was a vice president with J.P. Morgan Investment Management, where he managed liquid and illiquid investments in a team-managed, multi-sector portfolio under an absolute-return mandate.

    John began his finance career as an equity securities analyst with the State of Wisconsin Investment Board. A native Milwaukeean, John earned his Bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College and an M.B.A. from the Amos Tuck Graduate School of Business. A former Foreign Service officer in the U.S. Department of State, John served on assignment in Washington, D.C., and as Staff Aide to the American ambassador in Bogotá, Colombia.

    John is active in several social and charitable organizations, including long-time service as a trustee of the Isaac H. Tuttle Fund, which provides support to seniors and grants to organizations committed to serving New York City’s elder population. John has two children enrolled at Foothill and chairs the Investment Committee of the Board.

    Praveena Jeereddi

    Dr. Praveena Jeereddi is a gerontologist and currently serves as President of the Hospitalist Corporation of Inland Empire, a medical group servicing Pomona Valley Hospital and various medical facilities in the Inland Empire. She earned her Bachelor's in Psychology from UC San Diego and completed her Internal Medicine training in New York. Since 2001, she has served the local geriatric population. For the past 6 years, Praveena has been an active member of the Foothill community including her tenure as the BWO Council President.  Praveena and her husband are the proud parents of three Foothill students.

    Tony Kan

    Tony Kan is the parent of a Foothill graduate and a current student. He has over 30 years of experience in food processing and strategic planning of family business stewardship, while playing an active volunteer role in each of his children’s previous schools. Tony is an Executive Scholar of Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management and is a board member of the Inland Chinese Association located in Riverside, CA.

    During his time at Foothill, Tony has been integral to our efforts to strengthen our outreach to current and prospective families whose second language is English. As an enthusiastic ambassador at admission events and parent information meetings, Tony speaks convincingly about the strengths of the academic and character education his two children received at Foothill. As a trustee, Tony is chair of the Development Committee and remains firmly focused on the long-term financial sustainability of our School to ensure we can provide an engaging and innovative educational program for our students. 

    Tony is the proud father of two Foothill alumni, members of the Class of 2018 and Class of 2020.

    Melissa La Rose

    Melissa LaRose is an attorney who joined the Board in 2018 with experience in both the public and private sectors. She and her husband Connor (Class of 1993) have three young daughters, including one at Foothill and another at The Seedling School. Melissa is an attorney experienced in all phases of civil litigation as well as governmental and administrative law. She holds dual membership in the California Bar and the North Carolina State Bar.  Before moving into private practice, Melissa was an associate attorney general with the North Carolina Attorney General’s office, where she represented state government departments, agencies, and commissions. Melissa earned her B.A. in Political Science from Hawaii Pacific University and her J.D. from UC San Diego School of Law. She has two children attending Foothill and serves as co-chair of the Governance Committee.

    Jonathan Lam

    Jonathan Lam and his wife Gia Kim are the proud parents of a Foothill alumnus (Class of 2020). Jonathan graduated with a M.S. in civil engineering from Cal Poly Pomona and manages the Building Research Section of Building and Safety Division for Los Angeles County.  Jonathan has been spearheading the building code adoption for the Los Angeles County in the past three triennial cycles, and is an active volunteer in his son’s sport activities. Jonathan chairs the Audit Committee of the Board.

    Jessie Rodriguez

    Jessie Rodriguez is the founder and owner of Cal American Homes, a successful full-service real estate sales, construction and design firm based in Claremont. Cal American Homes was named one of the fastest growing small businesses in America by Inc. Magazine in 2012; the same year, Jessie was honored as one of the National Association of Realtors’ “30 Under 30.” Since 2008, Jessie has sold more than 2,000 homes and flipped more than 500. Jessie and his wife Tina also hosted an HGTV show called Vintage Flip that followed them as they bought, restored and flipped historic homes throughout Southern California. His most recent venture is the expansion of Cal American Homes to include a private lending division named Claremont Capital, which specializes in lending and investing in residential and multi-family assets. Jessie and his wife have three children at Foothill.

    Glenn Tomita

    Glenn Tomita has over 30 years of architectural experience in residential complexes, churches, commercial shopping centers, movie theatres, and performing arts venues. His responsibilities have included work with clients as both an architect and project manager. Glenn’s educational background includes electrical computer engineering and architecture. He earned his B.A. in Architecture from UC Berkeley. He is licensed with the State of California as an architect and general contractor, and is a LEED Accredited Professional with a certificates in interior design. Glenn Tomita and his wife, Jenny Xu, are parents of Foothill 8th grader which makes them ardent advocates of the School.
