Supporting Foothill

Supporting Foothill

  • Why Make a Gift?

Because tuition does not cover the full cost of a Foothill education.
While tuition provides the financial foundation for Foothill, your annual gifts provides the additional support for the depth, breadth, and quality of a Foothill education. The educational foundation of a lifetime for your student is funded through tuition revenue, endowment income, and your gifts to the Foothill Fund.

    Because participation matters.
Like all independent schools, Foothill counts on the support of parents, friends, foundations, and corporations to help fund a well-rounded Preschool- Grade 8 educational experience for its students. 100% parent participation sends the strongest message to foundations, corporations, and other donors—your gift counts!

Because Foothill is a “family school” and your philanthropy plays an important role.
Supporting Foothill has been a cornerstone of our community since the time Howell and Betty Webb founded the School in 1954. With your generosity, you can impact the Foothill students and the community in many ways.

    • Academic programs for both Seedling and for Kinder-8 students
    • Eleanor Pierson Scholarship Fund
    • Athletics, and the arts
    • Library and technology
    • Faculty professional development

Because every gift makes an impact.
The power of collective giving is transformational. Together, trustees, parents, faculty and staff, and friends ensure Foothill’s ability to provide the foundation of a lifetime for every student.

    • Foothill Fund

Your annual gift to The Foothill Fund provides vital and essential support to Foothill Country Day School and we count on philanthropic contributions from parents, grandparents, alumni and their families, as well as corporations and foundations, to meet operating expenses as well as strategic long-term priorities.

A strong Foothill Fund ensures we are able to deliver the educational experience you expect for your child. Year after year, the Foothill Fund sustains our School and ensures we thrive—your support immediately benefits students, teachers, and our programs!

By supporting the Foothill Fund, parents have a direct and immediate impact on their children’s experience during their time at Foothill Country Day School. Every gift, regardless of size, makes an impact. Our goal is 100% participation!

    • Eleanor Pierson Scholarship Fund

In 2010, the Eleanor Pierson Scholarship Fund was established to honor Eleanor’s legacy as a founding parent and the longest serving faculty member at Foothill Country Day School. Since the time of its founding, Eleanor served Foothill in many capacities, including assistant to headmaster Howell Webb, director of admissions, and community outreach coordinator—and many generations of alumni remember her warm presence every day at the School.

Your support of this fund provides tuition assistance for capable and deserving students who otherwise would not be able to afford a Foothill education. Approximately, 18% of our students are receiving some level of financial assistance to attend Foothill.  You can direct your annual gift to honor the legacy of Eleanor’s contributions to Foothill for many decades and ensure that a family’s financial capacity is not an obstacle for a child’s education.
