Summer Experience Themes

Session 1: June 18 - June 29 Camps Go Green
In this exciting first session, your child will experience conservation on a global scale through project-based learning activities.  The Camps Go Green curriculum will infuse conservation efforts into age-appropriate, hands-on activities.  Your child may create a tabletop biosphere, adopt an endangered animal, learn "watts up" with their personal energy usage, or study how rainforest chocolate goes from beans to bars!  Students may even find themselves on a marine mission as they complete a scavenger hunt about ocean ecology.  Interested in farming?  Learn sustainability as we get our hands dirty in the school's gardens.   Earth Day, Every Day.  Go Green!

Session 2: July 2 - July 13 STEM
Campers will explore, imagine, collaborate, and create in this fun-filled two-week STEM experience.  Make some slime, build a NASA rocket, and jump into active math (no shoes & socks required!).  Our super popular Makerspace lab will be open for creative minds explore.  Students will engage in a broad range of interactive, hands-on activities as they dive into the fields of science, technology, engineering, and math.

Session 3: July 16 - July 27 Global Citizenship
It's a small world when kids learn what it means to be a global citizen!  This two-week experience will help bring campers together to build tolerance, mutual understanding, and kindness.  Foothill is known for our diversity and we can't wait to share that with you through international friends, cultural food, art, and languages.  We will go on virtual adventures around the world with games, classroom activities, and a culmination project that will impact the world in a tangible way.  Children will realize their potential to make positive change and have fun doing it!
