Science at Foothill is exciting, active, and enriching. Whether it’s raising Rainbow Trout in the 3rd grade or extracting DNA from kiwi fruits and strawberries in 7th grade, the culture of questioning, critical thinking, and testing of ideas is embedded in the very structure of our science instruction. Students explore and experience science in two state-of-the-art science labs. The Lower School Science Lab is designed to encourage curiosity, excitement, and exploration. Upper School science, grades 6-8, is taught in a classroom that is comparable to the best high school science labs in the area. Foothill’s science program and facilities invite creativity, thoughtfulness, and discovery.
